While the prevalence of heart diseases are increasing exponentially globally, advances in technology are allowing more heart patients to undergo successful treatment. One such patient is Mr Ashok Kumar, who underwent MitraClip procedure, which is a medical device that clips a leaking valve without the need for any surgery. Mr Ashok shared, "I started facing heart problems in 2017. After meeting Dr Chandra, I was told that one of my heart valves were leaking. Earlier, the operation was the only solution, but in my case, the operation was very risky. Dr Chandra introduced me to Clip procedure, which required no major surgery to fix the leaking valve."
The clip used in this procedure is as small as a paper clip and can remain the body forever, without causing any discomfort. The material of the paper clip does not have any reactions to the human body.
