Dr Singhwal said, “Drinking enough water helps your body efficiently process food and transport nutrients to cells for energy production. Aim to consume at least eight glasses of water a day to keep your metabolism functioning optimally.”

Protein Shakes
Dr Singhwal said, “Protein is known for its role in building and repairing tissues, but it can also boost metabolism. The Thermic Effect of Food (TEF) is the energy expenditure required to digest, absorb, and metabolise nutrients in your diet. Protein has a higher TEF compared to carbohydrates or fats, which means your body burns more calories during the digestion of protein-rich foods.” Adding protein shakes into your diet can help increase your metabolic rate and support muscle growth, which is essential for long-term weight management.
